Yes, all participants are expected to attend all three days. This maintains the event's momentum and minimizes disruptions. A 'Sunday Presentation Only' option is available for those who want to watch the final pitches.

Friday involves registration, networking, pitches, and team formation. Saturday is full of work sessions, workshops, and mentoring. Sunday focuses on finalizing projects and presentations, followed by final pitches and judging.
Any business ideas are eligible, including for-profit, social businesses, and nonprofits. We recommend focusing on ideas that can produce a deliverable by Sunday, often tech-focused for easier MVP creation.
Depending on the schedule, you may or may not be able to pitch multiple ideas. Prioritize your best and most prepared idea first.
No. Startup Weekend is designed for growing new ideas from the ground up over the weekend.

While you can't fully protect your idea, the benefits of feedback and collaboration outweigh the risks. Focus on execution and passion, which can't be stolen.
As with any startup, the team decides. We don't support signing legal documents at the events. It's best to focus on building rather than ownership until there's a tangible product.
No, it's not obligatory to work all through the night. Venues typically close at midnight.
We provide speakers, mentors, and practical talks. Mentors from various fields offer advice. Check the Tools for Participants page for more resources.
While there are no specific requirements, you'll be judged on Customer Validation, Execution and Design, and Business Model. Common presentations include wireframes, mobile apps, slide decks, videos, and live product demos.
While competition isn't the central theme, we believe some friendly competition can be beneficial and reflects startup life realities. It provides real-world pressures and obstacles.
